There was one big story for Disney Media Distribution at MIPCOM and that was the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We were asked to create a branded environment where the distribution sales teams could close deals with global TV broadcasters for the epic film franchise as well a vast catalogue of content from ABC, Marvel and DreamWorks.
Our design inspiration came, unsurprisingly, from the famous film sets. Architectural features from the Millennium Falcon to stationed Storm troopers and models of the world’s favourite Star Wars heroes. To connect the theme to other key content, we created artwork featuring famous talent from other TV shows posing with Star Wars characters and prop.
More than 2,000 guests were welcomed to the Disney Media Distribution experience over the four-day show. Multiple distribution deals were announced to waiting media and social media coverage was overwhelmingly positive.
