2Heads Hike the South Downs for Charity
For the past few years, we at 2Heads have challenged ourselves to raise funds for charities that are close to our hearts. This year, we’re taking on a new adventure: walking the South Downs to support Macmillan Cancer Support, Dan’s Fund for Burns, and Bourne End Junior Sports and Recreational Club.
The Journey
Starting on 26th September in Kingston, our team of 35 intrepid hikers will embark on a two-day trek across the South Downs. From Devil’s Dyke to Eastbourne, passing iconic landmarks including the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head, camping overnight along the way, pushing ourselves while raising money for causes that matter.
The Cause
Dan’s Fund for Burns was founded by Polly Brooks (formerly Miller) after surviving the 2002 Bali bombings, in which she tragically lost her husband and loved ones. Experiencing the physical and emotional challenges of severe burns firsthand, Polly created the charity to support burn survivors across the UK. We’re proud to stand alongside them in their mission to provide care, resources, and hope.
Macmillan Cancer Support is a UK charity dedicated to helping anyone affected by cancer. From emotional and practical support to financial guidance and specialist nursing care, Macmillan ensures that no one faces cancer alone. We’re proud to support their incredible work.
Bourne End Junior Sports and Recreational Club is a cherished local charity that has been serving the community since 1970. Run entirely by volunteers, BEJSC offers a wide range of sports and recreational activities for children and young people, including football, swimming, basketball, and more. Their mission is to provide accessible and inclusive opportunities for youth to engage in physical activity. We are proud to support BEJSC in their ongoing efforts to inspire and empower the next generation
