What a Placement at 2Heads Taught Me About Events
Caitlin Harris | Events Management Student
Before starting the final year of her Events Management degree at the University of Lincoln, Caitlin spent the Spring of 2025 living out her sandwich-year placement at 2Heads.
“I knew I wanted a placement that would push me,” she said. “2Heads handles everything inhouse, from creative to client services, so I’d get exposure to every moving part.”
Caitlin joined us in January 2025 as part of her placement and, within days, found herself plunged into our biggest show of the year, Paris Air Show. Tasked with supporting the build of Airbus’ two-storey pavilion, she worked alongside project leads Bruce, Andy, Lauren, Milly, Hayley and James P to keep hundreds of details and dozens of suppliers in sync.
How Do You Turn a Placement into Real Experience?
While Paris Air Show was the biggest task, Caitlin also got involved in various other projects across the agency:
- Commonwealth War Graves Commission – researching new suppliers and securing custom-made pens, arches and flags in under a week.
- Citi – curating furniture and decorative elements to match the creative team’s vision, piece by piece.
- LEGO® Festival – jumping onto admin and packing duties to keep the project on schedule.
These projects gave Caitlin a chance to grow her skills but it wasn’t just the work that made her placement memorable. Beyond the show floor, Caitlin expresses the people of 2Heads as the highlight of her placement. From learning from others in the office to joining the social committee, she discovered how agency culture can make a difference to everyday life.
What’s Next?
First up, a solo backpacking trip through Thailand and Vietnam to soak up more inspiration. After graduation, she hopes to return to agency life as a project coordinator and eventually a project manager, ideally back with 2Heads or an equally energetic experiential agency.
“Every day here was different, and that’s exactly how I want the next ten years to feel,”
Caitlin leaves 2Heads with a fresh perspective, new skills and most importantly, genuine friendships. We can’t wait to see where the future takes her next and the doors she’ll open when she gets there.
Caitlin, the whole 2Heads crew is cheering you on!
